Fall is in the air...

With the end of September comes the crisp mornings and evenings of fall. (Not to mention the birthday of the one and only Elizabeth) So, how was our summer? Hot. Let me say that again... Hot. One more time HOT. This summer sucked, okay? Too damn hot. Another summer like this and this daddy-o is going to pack his junk up and move back west. Got it?!?

What else? Oh...Maya. That's right.

Summer was great. She spent a ton of time at the pool. So much so, that she is about 20 shades darker than mommy and about 3 shades darker than daddy. (sorry my albino wife) We also got to spend a fun family week in Hilton Head, SC. It was a good time for all. Maya didn't care for the sand the first day, but she loved it by the time we left.

She's still growing like a weed. Four more teeth have sprouted and she's all over the place (giving us all a workout) The dreaded 'potty training' has started and she actually did use the potty once. (fine, it was a partial win...part on floor part on feet part in potty, but we'll take it)

Look at me...

Someone is a big girl now! Yes, Maya is now in a big girl bed. We made the switch about 10 days ago after she tried to climb out of her crib on multiple occasions. We tried to reason with her and tell her that, "Nothing is worth doing this over!" But, she's stubborn (like daddy) and decided she was going to try no matter what.

After much deliberation, we decided to just put her in the queen bed that was already in her room. Don't worry, people, we baby proofed it. (rusty nails around the bed, some extension cords that were run through a sink full of water, etc) Just kidding. The mattress is on the floor. (jeesh people, you really think we are THAT crazy?)

July 4th...

Check me out! The neighborhood 4th of July parade and Maya was the main attraction. Lots of people waving at her and a few requests to run for mayor. She's so popular...

So, I figured this day would come. I knew it would be when Maya was 15....just not 15 MONTHS. The other day we were watching the Wiggles (chugga--chugga--big red car...yeah, I love the Wiggles...SO?!?) Anyway, this commercial comes on and what does Maya do? She freakin' 'WOO-HOO's' the boy, that what she did. I posted the commercial below. Just to let you know, Huggies, I am keeping my eye on you.

And, just because you probably are now making fun of me...enjoy some Wiggles!

We are in the process of changing picture/video providers, so be patient. The new site link is working, but I just haven't transferred all the pictures over just yet. Why did we change, you ask? It's all about the $$$. (the old site just got too expensive)
